Hackers Falls (Delaware Water Gap)

 Hackers Falls

This is a snippet from a longer blog post I created, about a weekend trip to the Poconos for Matt's birthday. Included is an Airbnb we rec, wineries, places to eat, and 4 hikes. Here is the original blog post.

1st hike: Raymondskills Falls

2nd hike: Hackers Falls

3rd hike: Bushkill Falls

4th hike: Mt Tammany

Black is research done prior to the trip; purple is what we learned from our trip.

Hackers Falls (49 min drive from Airbnb; 46 min drive from parking lot for Mount Tammany; about 23 min from Bushkill falls)

Address: 105 Fisher Ln, Milford, PA 18337

This trail is set in a serene woodland setting, that leads to a beautiful waterfall. Easy hike suitable for most skill levels.

Hackers Falls Trail begins across the street from Raymondskills

  • Falls lower parking lot.

    • This is where it gets a little tricky.
    • The upper lot has a sign for Raymondskills falls (the quick short hike). You can then walk down the hill (like the main road) and cross over the street to hike Hackers
    • The lower lot has a sign for Hackers falls. But the trailhead sign faces and leads you to Raymondskill falls. You have to go across the main street to get to the trail that leads you to Hackers falls.

Matt and I only came across 1 other group while on this hike. Oh and this salamander. If you can spot him.

If you are short on time, you could go without this one. It's a nice flat easy hike. Pretty trees. Relatively quick. But the waterfall wasn’t THAT impressive? After seeing Raymondskills at least lol. But we were already out there, and it was fairly quick. So why not!

Duration: Relatively short and can be completed in approximately 1 to 1.5 hours
Distance: The trail to Hackers Falls is about 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) round trip.

It's considered an easy hike, making it suitable for hikers of all ages and skill levels. The trail meanders through a scenic woodland area, crossing a bridge over a creek and eventually leading to the beautiful Hackers Falls.

Next Up: Bushkill Falls
